South Dakota Film Festival is looking for films to headline this year's event. Emphasis will be given to submissions made in or by filmmakers from the Great Plains region (SD, MN, ND, IA, WY, NE). However, regional considerations are only one of many factors considered in the final draw of films chosen for the "South Dakota Film Festival". The "South Dakota Film Festival" will screen the "best" films submitted regardless of their geographic origin.

Entries will be accepted beginning March 1st and ending July 31st.

Each film submission must be accompanied by its appropriate entry fee. Feature films (films with runtime of more than 40 minutes) must be accompanied by a $30 fee. Short films (films with runtime of 40 minutes or less) must be accompanied by a $20 fee.

Entry fee may be paid by Cashier's Check, Money Order, Credit Card or PayPal. Online payment through PayPal now available. Click here to begin.

Cashier's Check and Money Orders are payable to "Aberdeen Film Society." NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. If under the age of 18, entries must include written parental consent.

Film and completed submission form must be recieved by 11:59 PM on June 30th, 2008, with the following:

• 3 screener copies of the film must be submitted on DVD formatted for multi-zone or Zone 1 (North America). Widescreen format preferred. Each DVD must be labeled with Producer, Director and/or Production Company and contact information.
• Any promotional material including stills, behind the scenes images or footage, trailers, press kit materials.
